Welcome! Two words Exousia & Phantom represents the aim of my blog. Imagination being an action of forming new ideas, images or concept of external substance not present to the senses yet; ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful. Phantom being a figment of this Imagination and Exousia the power of choice or the freedom to express oneself as one pleases.

You Can Call Me Crazy

Published on March 28, 2012 by in Blog

When you see me, it’s okay to call me crazy! Because I’m crazy I’ll think it’s a compliment, so no offence taken. A lot of the people that ended up succeeding had initially been thought to be crazy.

A Prayer for the Suffering Children

Published on March 22, 2012 by in Blog

Suffering Children

-by Tony Kummer

Ever-watching Father:
we pray for the suffering children whom we do not see.

We know that your eyes see their tears,
that your heart knows their sorrow,
that your hands can reach them now.

We remember that Jesus was once a child,
that poverty stole his bread,
that tyrants sought his life,
that his mother tasted tears.

We ask you to send friends for the lonely,
food for the hungry,
medicine for the sick,
saviors for the enslaved,
rescue for the perishing.

Give us the wisdom to do our part,
share our possessions,
leave our comforts,
lend them our voice,
send them our food,
love them with more than prayers.

We call on you in the name of your child Jesus.
Amen.

What if?

what if

We create our own destiny

What if?
Do we create our own destiny or has it been pre-assigned such that we don’t really have a choice? Though this might be out of context, but “…come let us reason together” applies to us too or does it not?

I’ve turned up here today, here  and everything is as it should be; for now at least because I can’t really change this now can I? I mean I can try to make better choices based on lessons from yesterday but this place right now has happened and is rolling swiftly into the past. So one moment you’re either celebrating or wondering how you got here and the next it’s gone into past tense.

So you end up wondering how your life might have turned out if you didn’t take that one step? That one step a while ago that you can vividly remember was the pre-cursor to where you are now?

Where exactly do you think you’ll be if you had things differently? We ask ourselves “what if?” what if my parents were different, what if I went to a different school? What if? And I dare ask, does it matter now? We are ‘here and now’, we understand how the future works, so we can start making it work for us. There are no hard and fast rules, you have a choice and there is something you can do to make a difference to where you find yourself in future.

Okay I get it, I realise journeys into new depths that leads to roads of success might be scary but you should also see the fact that you are here now as another chance to make impact. People turn things around all the time and trust me you’re smart, you’re sharp, and you are beautiful; never let anyone tell you otherwise.

You can have a whole new life or better still you can enhance the one you already have, which ever one works for you. And you can start by taking just that one step. Apply for a new job, ask that girl, join that program, learn that language…

Your life is a gift you have to accept. It does not matter what state it’s in right now. Things aren’t exactly the way you imagined, so what?  You have a choice of accepting all these things the way they are and call it fate because they were just meant to be. But the story doesn’t have to end this way because we create our own destiny.
